Attached: Two poems by Hermann Hesse ("In Sand geschrieben" and "Im Auto über den Julier"), private print 1951. Monogrammed and inscribed "Zur Erinnerung an Montagnola" on inside of wrapper.
PROVENANCE: Estate Lilly Kehlmann (sister of Ninon Hesse, the artist's wife).
Charming small nature study, which - as the paper and the dedication lead one to assume - was presumaby made near Locarno at the Lago Maggiore, where Hesse lived in the small mountain village Montagnola from 1919 up until his death. [JS].
