(Translation of quote from ADB XXIV, 220) - The nice plates mostly with several illustrations, most anatomic. geognostic and schematic plates uncolored. - Foxed and slightly browned in places (colored plates barely affected), thumbed in places, ca. 20 plates with marginal blemishes, 3 plates with parts of margin torn off (on 2 plates images affected), 4 plates with maginl tears (2 rebacked and affecting image), 2 folding plates with squeeze marks and uncomely rebacked split, 12 plates mended and rebacked in the folding (affecting image in places), 1 text sheet with piece of margin torn off. Binding somewhat scraped, 1 outer joint slightly torn.
