The concentration on the figure of the Kopffüßler [Head Footer] was increased by Antes in the 1970s, by extensively staging the single figure on the image area. The extreme presence in this work is loosened up by the gradual coloring and the transparency of the color application. The 'Mann mit rotem Helm' [Man With Red Helmet] shows variations of human existence in subtle nuances: pugnacious and demure aspects, keeping privacy and inevitable exhibition. [EH].
