Not in Lipps-Kant. Lower left monogrammed and dated. Lower right with barely legible dedication. On firm wove paper by Monopol (with embossing). 39,1 x 56 cm (15,3 x 22 in), the full sheet.
In 1929 Paul Kleinschmidt travelled Southern France, during these three weeks in September he made around 24 watercolors, of which some served as model for tghis oil painting. (Cf. Barbara Lipps-Kant, Paul Kleinschmid 1883-1949, diss.Tübingen, 1977, pp. 96 f). [EH].
