As model for this work Andy Warhol chose the painting "Saint Apollonia" from the workshop of Piero della Francesca. In order to prove her martyrdom she shows a tooth she has pulled out with pincers. Printed by Rupert Jasen Smith, New York. Published by Dr. Frank Braun, Düsseldorf. [DB].
