Focillon 26. Hind 3 II (of III). Robison 30 IV (of VI). Signed and Roman numbered in plate. Excellent impression on laid paper with additional shadings, however, before the horizontal shadings to the stoneworks in right margin. Broad margin around platemark and normal centerfold. 54,8 x 41,5 cm (21,5 x 16,3 in). Sheet: 69,8 x 51 cm (36,5 x 20,1 in).
State of second editionon, which Piranesi published himself and increased it from fourteen to sixteen sheets and gave it a new title. The third volume of this second edition was published in the mid 1760s and early 1770s. [CB].
