Seine Recension diente den meisten folgenden Ausgaben zur Basis" (Schweiger S.181). - "The merits of Wolf are very considerable; he has corrected the Greek text from the Fuggerian Ms., and examined all the ancient editions, including the editio princeps. Meritorious recension by Hieron. Wolf, here the esteemed folio-edition (cf. Dibdin). Fine printing in 2 columns, text in Greek and Latin. 2 parts in 1 volume, the second contains Wolf's annotations & corrections. With 2 woodcut printer's devices and some woodcut initials. Contemp. pigskin on raised bands with beautiful roll stamps (allegories). - Partly minor browning, title with cut-off corner (mended in older times), inner front joint loosened (partly repaired, endpaper and title strengthened in the gutter). Altogether well-preserved copy.
