The color discs stand side by side in varying density, the surfaces partly overlap one another, adding severe cumulation to the dense composition. However, the play with lucency makes for a pleasant lightness. This work is a wonderful example of how Ernst Wilhelm Nay's seemingly random images are based on intensively developed compositions.
