EINBAND: Rote langnarbige Maroquinbände des späten 19. Jahrhunderts mit klassizistischer Goldprägung, Ganzgoldschnitt und marmorierten Vorsätzen (Bayntun). 31,5 : 25 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit 22 Kupfertafeln von J. Heath nach Stothard, Fuseli und Hamilton sowie zusätzlich mit über 100 Kupfertafeln von J. Boydell u. a. - ZUSTAND: Stellenw. leicht stockfleckig oder schwach gebräunt. Sonst sehr gut erhaltenes Exemplar in einem erstklassigen, nahezu unberührten Meistereinband. - PROVENIENZ: Innendeckel jeweils mit prächtigem gestochenen Wappen-Exlibris des Sammlers William Hall Walker, Baron Wavertree (1856-1933).

Late 19th century red long-grained morocco bindings with classicist gilt tooling, gilt edges and marbled endpapers (Bayntun). 6 vols. in 12. 31.5 : 25 cm. With 22 copper plates by J. Heath after Stothard, Fuseli and Hamilton and more than 100 copper plates by J. Boydell et al. - Slightly foxed and browned in places. Else very well-preserved copy in an almost pristine master binding. Inside covers with splendid armorial bookplate of the collector William Hall Walker, Baron Wavertree (1856-1933).
