Mit 5 Himmelskarten nach J. G. Doppelmayr, ferner Teilkarten von Frankreich, Deutschland und Österreich (mit Böhmen und Mähren), Preußen und den Niederlanden.
EINBAND: Lose Karten in Orig.-Lederdecke (Rücken erneuert, die Tafel Geographische Universal-Zeig und Schlag-Uhr mit kl. Nordpolkarte um die rechten Textleiste beschnitten und als Vorsatzblatt auf den hinteren Innendeckel montiert; nicht in Zählung enth.), sowie Broschur (Text), zusammen in privater Leinenkassette. 55,5 : 34 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit 24 doppelblattgroßen kolorierten Kupferkarten. - KOLLATION: 2 Bll., 42 S., 1 Bl. - ZUSTAND: Fehlt u. a. der Kupfertitel. Tlw. leicht fleckig und gebräunt, einzelne Karten stärker, überwiegend mit kl. hinterl. Falz- oder Randeinriß oder tlw. komplett verstärkter Mittelfalte, 1 Karte bis an die Einfassung beschnitten, mit breit hinterlegter Mittelfalte; insgesamt jedoch gut erhalten. Text im Rand leicht fleckig, 1 Bl. mit kl. ergänztem Eckabschnitt. Lederdecke beschabt u. bestoßen.

Collection of 24 colored doublepage engr. maps from Homann's major work "Grosser Atlas uber die gantze Welt". With 5 celestial charts after J. G. Doppelmayer and regional maps of France, Austria-Hungary, Prussia, Germany, Scandinavia and the Netherlands. Loose maps in orig. half calf cover (spine renewed; the famous plate with "Geographische Universal-Zeig und Schlag-Uhr" with small polar map in the centre trimmed by one-fourth of the right margin and serving as the rear endpaper) and text bound in wrappers, together in private cloth case. - Lacking amongst others the illustr. engr. title. Slightly stained and tanned, few maps stronger affected, mainly in centrefolds and margins with small rebacked tears or completely reinforced centrefold, 1 map trimmed to neatline and with repaired centrefold, but overall still well-preserved collection. Text slightly stained, 1 leaf with remargined cut off corner. Calf cover scraped and rubbed.(R)
