• Based on his informal creation Hartung attains an experimental and highly dynamic color application.
• The line is the key characteristic feature in Hartung's verstaile oeuvre, in this close-up it becomes a dynamic gesture.
• Recently the Musée d’Art Moderne, Paris, dedicated the grand retrospective "Hans Hartung. La Fabrique du Geste" to the internationally acclaimed artist.
The work is registered in teh archive of the Fondation Hartung-Bergman, Antibes, and will be included into the forthcoming catalog raisonné.
