• Among Adolf Hölzel' abstract works the impressive glass stained windows occupy a special position.
• Between 1906 and 1918 the artist had a teaching post for painting at the Stuttgart Academy.
• In later years the generation of artists around the Bauhaus teachers Johannes Itten (1888-1967) and Oskar Schlemmer (1888-1943) were particularly occupied with Hölzel's theories.
