• Next to Liebermann, Corinth was the most importnat German impressionist.
• Touching portrait of the daughter Wilhelmine (1909–2001) and her cat.
• The portrait was made on occasion of her third birthday.
• Portraits of family members are very rare on the auction market (source: artprice.com).
• White, blue and rosé in a bright harmony.
Accompanied by an expertise from Prof. Hans-Jürgen Imiela (1927–2005), Mainz, dated March 16, 1994 (in copy).
