• Large-size and expressive landscape depiction.
• In his late creative period "Schmidt-Rottluff once more let the colors glow" (Magdalena M. Moeller).
• The bright yellow path cuts through the idylic, grass-green Taunus landscape like a symbol, guiding the observer's eye into the picture's depth.
• With strong and rich high contrast primary colors and gently swung forms, as well as with uncolored blank spaces, the great expressionist delivers proof of his mastery in this work.
The watercolor is documented in the archive of the Karl and Emy Schmidt-Rottluff Foundation Berlin.
