Monogrammed and dated (in ligature) in the lower right corner of the wet paint. 66 x 48 cm (25.9 x 18.8 in). [EH].
• Hofer's unique female portraits are among his most compelling creations
• With its delicate colors, this work is one of the most outstanding examples of his portraiture
• Hofer's works are in numerous important public collections, including the Museum Folkwang in Essen, the Museum Ludwig in Cologne, and the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa
• In 1955, his work was posthumously honored with a presentation at documenta I, the first significant art exhibition after World War II, and an apology to artists ostracized by National Socialism.

another 3 % of the hammer price from 50,000.01 to 200,000 euros,
another 1 % for the part of the sales proceeds from 200,000.01 to 350,000 euros,
another 0.5 % for the part of the sale proceeds from 350,000.01 to 500,000 euros and
another 0.25 % of the hammer price over 500,000 euros.
The maximum total of the resale right fee is EUR 12,500.
The artist‘s resale right compensation is VAT-exempt.
