• Caught in a maze of dots and lines: a characteristic full-sheet work from Jean Dubuffet's extensive graphic oeuvre.
• His drawings from 1960 comprise an entire volume of Max Loreau's “Catalogue des travaux de Jean Dubuffet” – in 1960, the artist started a systematic recording of his oeuvre.
• Created during the crucial transitional period leading up to the famous “Hourloupe” series (1962–1974).
• In the year of its creation, the Kestner Gesellschaft in Hanover, the Kunsthaus Zürich, and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris dedicated extensive solo exhibitions to the artist.
