• Formerly owned by sculptor Clara Rilke-Westhoff, a friend of Paula Modersohn-Becker.
• First exhibited in 1920 (Kunsthalle Bremen, Paula Modersohn-Becker memorial exhibition).
• After her third trip to Paris around 1905, the artist increasingly devoted herself to tranquil still lifes with minimalist forms and colors.
• Still lifes from this period are part of important museum collections, including the Von der Heydt Museum in Wuppertal, the Lower Saxony State Museum in Hanover, and the Kunsthalle Bremen
