• Powerful combination of informal, colorful abstraction and a free, graphic style.
• In 1952, Santomaso co-founded the Italian artist group “Fronte Nuovo delle Arti” and was one of the most important protagonists of abstract art in post-war Italy.
• In 1955, 1959, and 1964, he participated in documenta I, II, and III in Kassel.
• Works by Giuseppe Santomaso are in leading museum collections, including the Art Institute of Chicago and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York
