• Bought directly from the artist by the Kosfeld collector couple 35 years ago and part of their extensive collection ever since.
• Dynamic work by one of the most important representatives of German Informel.
• The artist participated in documenta II, III, and 6 in Kassel in 1959, 1964, and 1977.
• Works by Emil Schumacher can be found in the collections of the Hamburger Kunsthalle, the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart, and the Vatican Museums, among others.
The work is registered in the Emil Schumacher Foundation archive under number 0/3.210 and will be included in the forthcoming catalogue raisonné.
PROVENANCE: Collection of Hildegard and Ferdinand Kosfeld (acquired from the artist in 1995).

In very good condition, with a few creases due to the manufacturing process.
