Eines von 50 Exemplaren auf Vélin, von denen auch einige numeriert wurden.
Dr. Heinrich Simon (1880-1941) war Journalist und Verleger und einer der einflußreichsten Förderer Beckmanns in seinen Frankfurter Jahren. Er war mit Max Beckmann befreundet, der ihn in noch einer weiteren Lithographie und einem Gemälde porträtierte. Der Maler nahm regelmäßig an den Freitagstischen im Haus des Chefredakteurs der Frankfurter Zeitung teil. In den Jahren 1919-1920 wohnte er sogar bei den Simons.
- ZUSTAND: Leicht lichtrandig und stellenw. minim. stockfl., im Rand etw. wellig, unt. re. Ecke mit kl. Abriß, seitlich mit kl. Randeinriß (1 cm), verso mit 2 kl. Montierungsresten. - PROVENIENZ: Privatsammlung Baden-Württemberg.
