Die ersten 100 Tafeln aus einem der bekanntesten botanischen Werke des 18. Jahrhunderts in schönem Altkolorit.
Das Blackwellsche Herbarium in der vom Nürnberger Arzt, Naturforscher und Botaniker Christoph Jacob Trew (1695-1769) besorgten Neubearbeitung. Hier vorhanden Band I (von 6) mit den ersten 100 Tafeln, " .. were copied from Blackwell's plates but are much more carefully drawn, engraved and colored, and have alterations and additional material." (De Belder)
EINBAND: Pappband der Zeit. 35,5 : 24 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit koloriertem Kupfertitel und 100 kolorierten Kupfertafeln von N. F. Eisenberger. - KOLLATION: 34 nn. Bll. - ZUSTAND: Insgesamt etw. fleckig, ca. 15 Tafeln unten mit meist hinterlegtem oder seltener geklebtem Randeinriß, 1 Tafel mit neu ergänztem Randausriß (kein Bildverlust), Buchblock mehrfach angebrochen. Einband mit Gebrauchsspuren. Insgesamt noch gutes Exemplar.

Volume I (of 6) of one of the most famous botanical works of the 18th century. With col. engr. title and 100 col. engr. plates. Contemp. cardboard (damaged). - Overall somewhat stained, ca. 15 plates with tears to lower margin (mostly rebacked or otherwise repaired), 1 plate with remargined paper defect, inner book broken. Still overall good copy.
