• With his uncompromising linear aesthetics, Bernard Buffet developed one of the most influential styles in European Post-War art.
• One year earlier, his work was awarded the Prix de la Critique in 1948.
• His paintings are a powerful reflection of the intellectual world of the Parisian existentialists.
• The artist’s works are held in renowned museum collections, including the Kunstmuseum Basel, the Tate Gallery in London, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
