• Emil Nolde uses a dark color palette to capture the ambiance.
• Emil Nolde is considered the greatest watercolorist of the 20th century, especially because of his emotional landscapes.
• From 1906 to 1907, Nolde was a member of the “Brücke” artists' group, and he joined the Berlin Secession in 1908.
Accompanied by a written confirmation of authenticity issued by the Seebüll Ada and Emil Nolde Foundation on May 9, 2025 (copy). The work is registered there under the number “Fr.A.2137” and will be included in the forthcoming catalogue raisonné of Emil Nolde’s watercolors and drawings.
