Signed and dated in the lower right corner. Signed again on the reverse, inscribed with the location and “Rot (komendes)”. 94.8 x 168 cm (37.3 x 66.1 in).

• A particularly striking example of Winter’s outstanding mastery of form and color.
• As early as the 1950s, Winter exhibited in the United States and participated in two exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
• With his participation in documenta I (1955), he became one of the leading representatives of the German Informel.
