• Large-format work by one of the protagonists of German Informel.
• Part of a German private collection since 1982.
• In the 1950s, Thieler was represented at documenta II and III as well as at the 29th Venice Biennale.
• The artist allows the color to spread and mix, thus combining its own momentum with his own artistic, calculated design.
• The artist´s works are now included in important collections, including the Kunsthalle Mannheim, the Städel Museum, Frankfurt am Main, and the Collection of Contemporary Art of the Federal Republic of Germany.
PROVENANCE: Private collection, Berlin (acquired from the artist in 1982).

In good condition. Partially minimally rubbed. Canvas on the stretcher slightly loose with a little too much movement.
