• A meditative composition of luminous, rhythmically structured color.
• Subtly applied color accents break through the darkness of the background and create a vibrant play of light.
• The shimmering compositions of the 1950s are among the artist’s most sought-after works.
• Offered on the international auction market for the first time (source: artprice.com).
• Adolf Fleischmann is considered a pioneer of Op Art.
PROVENANCE: Private collection, North Rhine-Westphalia (2001).
In the family’s possession ever since.

In good condition. The right and top edges of the sheet are each slightly unevenly trimmed. The sheet is slightly wavy overall due to the manufacturing process. The edges of the sheet show isolated superficial rubbing and studio marks in places, there is also a tiny tear in the paper along the center of the left edge.
