Monogram, date and inscription "287" scratched on the underside. Unique object. Height: 67 cm (26.3 in). [EH].

• A consistent reduction of the human body to an abstract stele.
• Other works by the artist are at, among others, the Städel Museum in Frankfurt am Main, the Augsburg Art Collections, and the Bavarian State Painting Collections in Munich.

LITERATURE: Josephine Gabler, Birk Ohnesorge, The Sculptor Michael Croissant (1928–2002). With a catalog raisonné of the sculptures, Berlin 2003, catalogue raisonné number 926. (illustrated), where the workbook number 288 is incorrectly listed.
In good condition. Handling marks along the edges from the making. Isolated small scuffs, with very few, minimal surface imperfections.
