Rupprecht Geiger
1908 - 2009
20/84. 1984.
Graphite drawing on paper.
Signed, dated, and inscribed "20/84" on the reverse. 49.2 x 42 cm (19.3 x 16.5 in), the size of the sheet.
With small sketches in graphite on the reverse. [AR]
We are grateful to Mrs Julia Geiger, Archive Geiger Munich, for her kind assistance.
PROVENANCE:
Galerie Walter Storms, Munich.
Private collection, Southern Germany.
In family possession ever since.
In good condition. Shows general traces from the artist’s studio, as well as a continuous, horizontal, smoothed crease, likely also resulting from studio conditions. The paper is slightly roughened in places along the edges and has very occasional, tiny brown spots.
