Zweite Ausgabe der Predigtsammlung, posthum von Geilers Schüler Jacob Otther herausgegeben.
Erstmals 1511 in Augsburg erschienen. Der Titel Navicula penitentie nutzt die Metapher eines Bußschiffs, um den Gläubigen einen sicheren Weg durch die Gefahren der Welt zu weisen.
EINBAND: Etw. späterer Halbpergamentband. 4to. 19 : 13,5 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit großer Holzschnitt-Initiale zu Beginn. - KOLLATION: 168 nn. Bll. (Bl. 12 leer), 1 w. Bl. - ZUSTAND: Ca. 6 Bll. zu Beginn mit kl. Wurmspur (Buchstabenverlust), 6 Bll. am Rand alt verstärkt, wenige Bll. am Kopfsteg beschnitten; erste 4 Lagen rubriziert und mit roten Lombarden. Bindung tls. etw. gelockert, Deckel im 19. Jh. mit Papier bezogen. - PROVENIENZ: Titel mit altem klösterlichen Eintrag sowie 2 Stempeln der Jesuitenbibl. Linz (19. Jh.). - Zuletzt Privatsammlung Frankfurt.

With large woodcut initial. 17/18th cent. half vellum. - Ca. 6 leaves at beginning with small wormtrace (loss of letters), 6 leaves strengthened at side margin, few leaves trimmed at head, first 4 quires rubricated and with red lombards. Inner binding here and there slightly loosened, boards with later paper cover (19th cent.). Monastic inscription and Jesuit stamps to title. - Frankfurt private collection.
