This sheet is a preliminary study for the etching "Sündenfall" from the graphic cycle "Die ersten Menschen", released by Verlag Fritz Gurlitt, Berlin 1911 (cf. Schwarz 81 II). Verso: Portait of a woman (Charlotte Berend-Corinth?). Pencil drawing. With inscription. [KD].
