"One thing is for sure: Hundertwasser did not gain nearly as much recognition through many his versatile works, achievements and public activities as he did through his graphic works. If one says today 'Friedensreich Hundertwasser counts among the most important contemporary artists', [..] the contribution of his prints to that rank cannot be treasured high enough (quote after: Walter Koschatzky, Friedensreich Hundertwasser, Zurich 1986, p. 10). Our case with six Japanese woodcuts in colors delivers marvelous proof of this statement. [JG].
