Made by Bernardaud, Manufacture de Porcelaine, Limoges (France). With the certificates from the manufactory and a gift box designed by Jeff Koons. With explanations on the object's care. [CB].
This is the first time that a 3-piece set of the "Balloon Dogs" with identical numbers in a custom made gift box is offered.
The lot is called up without a reserve price

"Ballon Dog […]. That is a very optimistic piece. It's like the type of balloon a clown at a birthday party would make. At the same time it is a Trojan Horse: there are other things hiding inside, perhaps that's because of the work's sexual character."
