Oil on canvas.
Monogrammd (in ligature) in upper left and verso of the canvas also monogrammed in ligature, dated "Lawrence / 1958", titled and inscribed "M. v. L. - Nov. 1879: June 1958". 50.8 x 90.8 cm (20 x 35.7 in) . [CH].

One of the artist's last works
For the first time offered on the auction market. Works by the artist are in the Museum of Modern Art, New York, the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, and the Chicago Art Institute.

PROVENANCE: Private collection USA.
