The sheet was presumably made from the first floor of the artist's sumemr house on Wannsee. It shows the waterside of the so-called 'Wannseegarten' in northeast duirection. [CE].

(ille terrarum mihi praeter omnes angulus ridet.)" - In 1921 Liebermann used these words from the 6th ode of Horace to describe his beloved summer house on Wannsee.
