Vogt 624. Monogrammed in lower right. Verso of the stretcher inscribed "No. 8", presumably by a hand other than that of the artist. 59 x 77 cm (23.2 x 30.3 in).

• First exhibited in 1919 in the Flechtheim Gallery (Düsseldorf).
• First offered on the auction market since 1959: family-owned for over 60 years.
• The great importance of the city of Soest in Rohlfs' life and work is undisputed.
• The powerful and intense coloring makes our painting one of the most picturesque works the artist created on the subject of "Soest"
