[KT]. • Made during the productive Weimar period, when Feininger was employed as head of the printing workshop at the Bauhaus. • During his hikes through the Thuringian region of Weimar, Feininger made drawings of the surrounding landscape and the architecture. • The churches in particular determined Feininger's drawing and graphic production of this time.
