Artist Statement:
Although we care a lot about the outer world, the inner world has always seemed much more intense and important to me. A great and mighty landscape. Loud, colorful and dark - fluid, moving and complex. A whole universe.
In my artistic work I explore the inner space - the landscape within us. I am interested in the spiritual; the states which do not exist as matter. Or maybe they do?
I translate these states through my artistic activity in form and image and thus let them become matter. When translating into my art, I use trauma-analogous methods such as automatic writing. This method enables me to access the unconscious in order to visualize what the clear and alert mind doesn’t grasp. On my journey, I am accompanied by a lack of intention and a mode of inner motion.
I embark on a research journey into the unknown by feeling a fictional world. It is my concern to make this world sensually perceptible through my art and to make it accessible to others. I give form to what is secret and hidden and transform it into reality through my artistic actions.
