• From the group of the "Augenbilder" ("Eye Pictures", 1963-64).
• Particularly high-contrast watercolor, the blank spaces add a particularly airy effect.
• Overpainting his hitherto key motif of the disk with spindles, he attained the "Eye" motif.
• In the year the work was made, Nay showed three large "Eye Pictures" at documenta III in Kassel.
