Druckvermerk von der Künstlerin und vom Verfasser signiert. - "The Russians were pioneers in an expressionist use of colour even before the more abstract developents of Kandinsky and de Staël. Russian-born Sonja Delaunay is the widow of Robert Delaunay who contributed illustrations only one livre d'artiste, Allô, Paris (Joseph Delteil). His painting has obviously influence her; she uses colours that hark back to Orphism, evoking rainbows and coloured spinning-tops, reminiscent of her husband's dictum 'la lumière déforme tout, brise tout'. The controlled gaiety of her colour etchings to Juste Présent, text by Tzara, reminds on that she begann as a costume designer for the stage. The abstract shapes from interesting contrasts of flat colour and black, hateched areas, and link wih such painting as the 'Rhythme Sans Fins'" (Strachan). - Die signierte Gouache auf Arches-Bütten, die übrigen Graphiken und der Text auf Japan. - Schuber etw. angeschmutzt und geklebt.
