Cordier Sp. 2453. - First French edition. - Translated from Russian by A. Kuscinski. - Piassetsky went on an expedition with the Russian colonel Sosnowskij (cf. Henze V, 184). The sketches made on that journey served later as models for this edition's portraits, genre-, city- and landscape depictions by Barclay, Bertrand, Taylor and others - Partly slightly stained, binding scraped and somewhat bumped.
