One sheet monogrammed lower right and inscribed "Die Badenden. Entwurf zu einem der drei Wandgemälde im Museum (Lindenau-Museum) in Altenburg x Eingang zur Bibliothek. Länge der Wand: 10mtr. The first late-impressionist draft for the paintings in the Lindenau museum in Altenburg was made by Ernst Müller-Gräfe in 1911, two of the three wall paintings were completed in 1915. After World War I he created three new versions, which are obliged to Expressionism interms of form and colors. The works were executed between 1919 and 1921, today they are pasted over by wallpaper.
