Erste bei Aldus gedruckte Ausgabe von Quintilians Hauptwerk.

Gedruckt in schöner Aldus-Kursive und besorgt von Naugerius und Rhamusius.

EINBAND: Pergamentband des 19. Jahrhunderts mit Rückenschild und goldgeprägtem Aldus-Anker auf dem Vorderdeckel. 8vo. 20,5 : 13,5 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit Holzschnitt-Druckermarke auf dem Titel und am Ende (wdh.). - KOLLATION: 4 nn. Bll. (d. l. w.), 230 num. Bll. - ZUSTAND: Vereinz. leicht fleckig, zu Beginn wasserrandig, Titel und das 4. w. Bl. mit alten Eintragungen, Druckermarke tls. mit Tintenspur, stellenw. alte Marginalien (tls. angeschnitten), Vorsatz mit blassem Wappenstempel.

With 2 woodcut printer's devices (rep.). 19th cent. vellum with label and anchor device on upper cover. - Here and there slight staining, waterstaining at beginning, title and 4th blank leaf with old inscriptions, device with ink trace, some early marginalia (partly trimmed), endpaper with pale stamp.
