Dekorative Karte von Nord- und Südamerika in einer Hemisphäre. Mit vier großen Figuren in den Ecken (Porträts der Entdecker Columbus, Vespucci, Magellan und Pizarro), Titel in Schriftleiste im ob. Rand der Darstellung und Seeungeheuer und Segelschiffen im Kartenbild. Aus De Brys Großen Reisen . - "This beautifully engraved map follows the style de Bry was becoming known for; he was one of the major influences encouraging the full decoration of maps." (Burden) - Stellenw. leicht fleckig und mit leichten Quetschfalten, rechter und unt. Rand knapp beschnitten, Knitterspuren in der Mittelfalte und minim. Ausrisse am unteren Rand breit hinterlegt, linker Rand verso verstärkt.

Rare and decorative map of North and Southamerica in one hemisphere. - Here and there slightly stained and with few printer's creases, cropped close on the right hand and at the bottom, some creasing of the centrefold and few small defective spots in the lower margin rebacked, left margin reinforced on verso.
