Goos' Version (1666), noch ohne Verlegeradresse von Renard oder Ottens (spätere Ausgaben); rechte obere Ecke mit Numerierung "19". - Seekarte von Südostasien, nach Osten orientiert und mit großer kolor. figürlicher Titelkartusche; einige der größeren Inseln wie Celebes, Sumatra, Java, Japan und die Philippinen ebenfalls durch Kolorit hervorgehoben; in der rechten Hälfte oben Australien und Papua-Neu-Guinea mit angedeuteter Küstenlinie. "The theme of the chart is the Dutch sphere of interest in Southeast Asia .. De Wit shows the coastlines of 'Nova Guinea' and 'Hollandia nova', which were explored by the Dutch, in particular by Abel Tasman" (Walter). - Vorwieg. linke Blatthälfte etw. gebräunt, mit kl. Tintenfleck im linken weißen Rand und kl. Wurmloch in der unt. linken Ecke des Kartenbildes, Ränder insgesamt mit Knitterspuren und kl. Einrissen (darunter ein hinterl. Einriß der Mittelfalte), oberer Rand mit zwei kl. Ausrissen.

First edition before the reissueing by Renard or Ottens with their addresses added to the title. Sea chart of Southeast Asia, orientated to the east, the coastlines of Australia and New Guinea depicted at the top right. Large colored figural cartouche in the lower left corner, some of the larger islands including Japan also highlightened by color. - Mainly the left half of the sheet somewhat tanned, with small ink stain in the left margin and small wormhole in the left corner of illustration. Margins partly with small tears (1 tear to the top of the centrefold rebacked), upper margin with two small defective spots.
