Epistolae. Mit Beigaben von Georgius Cribellus. Mailand, L. Pachel, 18. Dezember 1490.

Erste vollständige Ausgabe der bedeutenden Briefsammlung des Heiligen Ambrosius.

Enthält neben den Briefen noch folgende kleinere Schriften: Epistolarum, De vocatione omnium gentium, De grano sinapis, De sacramentis et mysteriis, De virginibus ad Marcellinam sororem, De viduis, De cohortatione virginum, De institutione virginis und De ieiunio.

Einband: Halbpergamentband des 19. Jahrhunderts, Deckelbezüge unter Verwendung eines alten Pergament-Manuskriptes. Kl.-Folio. 27 : 19 cm.- KOLLATION: 188 nn. Bll. Rom. Typ., 56 Zeilen.- ZUSTAND: Stellenw. etw. gebräunt und fleckig, erste 10 Bll. mit kl. Feuchtigkeitsrand und minim. Randläsuren am Seitensteg, letztes Bl. in unt. Hälfte angerändert (ohne Textverlust), mit zeitgenöss. Marginalien (u. a. Tabula) und Fingerzeigen. Einband etw. fleckig, berieben und bestoßen.- PROVENIENZ: Alter gelöschter Besitzstempel "Bibliotheca mon(asteriorum) ad Sanctam Crucem", vermutlich des Zisterzienserklosters Heiligenkreuz im Wienerwald.

First complete edition of the letters with further contributions from his works. 19th century vellum, cover material by using an old vellum manuscript. - Partly slightly browned and stained, first 10 leaves stained by damp in the margins and with minim. marginal defects, with ms. marginalia by old hand, first leaf recto with ms. tabula and stamped (old erased owner's stamp), last leaf lower half missing and remargined (without loss of text). Binding somewhat stained, rubbed and bumped.R)
