Schönes breitrandiges Exemplar. Seltene, für uns nicht nachweisbare Edition der ersten illustrierten Folio-Ausgabe mit allen drei Werken.

Insgesamt vierte Ausgabe (?). - Die schönen Kupfer nach J. B. Medina, B. Lens u. a. stammen von M. Burghers und P. P. Bouche. - Mit der über 500 Abonnenten umfassenden Subskriptionsliste, darunter die renommiertesten Persönlichkeiten der Zeit.

Einband: Neuer Ledereinband unter unter Verwendung alten Rückenmaterials. 36,5 : 23 cm.- ILLUSTRATION: Mit 10 (st. 12) Kupfertafeln.- KOLLATION: 1 Bl., 343 S., 3 Bll. Subskriptionsverzeichnis; 1 Bl., 66 S.; 3 Bll. 57 S.- ZUSTAND: Fehlen die Kupfer zu Buch 1 und 5 sowie das Porträt. - Zu Beginn und am Ende etw. wasserrandig, stellenw. etw. fingerfl., erste 4 Bll. mit hinterl. Randläsuren, 3 Bll. mit Randeinriß (2 hinterlegt).

First illustr. folio edition. Very scarce variant of the 3 works together, not in Wing, Lowndes etc. With 10 (of 12) copperplates. New calf using old material at spine. - Lacking 2 plates (to book I and V) and engr. portrait. - At beginning and end slightly waterstained, partly slightly fingerstained, first 4 leaves with backed marginal defects, 3 leaves with marginal tear (2 backed).
