Sorgfältige und aufwendige Geschenkalben von J. H. Pinckvoss für seine Verwandte Margarethe Kees (mit dem goldgeprägt. Monogramm "M K" auf den Vorderdeckeln) zur Erinnerung einer Weltreise im Jahre 1909. Mit den zusätzlichen Titeln auf den Vorderdeckeln "The Tropics, China, Japan" und "The Pacific, Amerika, The Atlantic". Vorderer Vorsatz mit der handschriftl. Widmung "These little souvenirs, collected on our trip around the world, have been arranged in two books for his dear 'daughter' Mararet Kees, with every good and kind wish by Uncle Pinky." - Die Fotografien in den Formaten 8 : 10 cm bis 21,5 : 26,5 cm zeigen Ansichten, Landschaften, Landausflüge, Straßenszenen, Porträts u. a., meist handelt es sich um Privatfotografien sowie kolor. Atelierfotografien (Japan), aber auch Postkarten, Chromodrucke, Visitenkarten, Zeitungsausschnitten u. a. Einen besonderen Reiz erhalten die Alben durch die zahlr. eingeklebten Speise- und Menukarten.
EINBAND: Dunkelblaue Maroquinbände der Zeit mit goldgepr. Deckelfileten und breiter Innenkantenvergoldung sowie Ganzgoldschnitt. 32 : 42 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Auf Kartonbll. montiert, 67 und 69 S. - ZUSTAND: Einbände leicht berieben, Kapitale etw. bestoßen. - PROVENIENZ: Privatsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen.

Dunkelblauer Orig.-Maroquinband (in Anlehnung der Tafelbände). 22 : 17 cm. 112 S. - Wohl als Privatdruck erschienen. - Anschauliche Schilderung der 6-monatigen Weltreise mit einer Wegstrecke von 32.650 Meilen.
Lavishly illustrated albums with approx. 550 original photographs, postcards and illustrations, with approx. 40 mounted menus, meticulously arranged and fully annotated with handwritten captions, bound in 2 magnificent dark blue contemporary Morocco leather bindings with gilt tooling. - Bindings slightly rubbed, spine ends bumped. - Included: Margarethe Kees, My trip around the world.
