Henricus Regius
Fundamenta physices. Amsterdam, Elzevir 1646.

"This book is very rare and is not found in the major medical bibliographies" (Heirs of Hippocrates).

Erste Ausgabe und eines der Hauptwerke des Descartes-Anhängers Henricus Regius (1598-1679). "Regius was professor of botany, theoretical medicine, and anatomy at Utrecht and a pupil friend and ardent follower of Descartes. This book on physical philosophy created something of a sensation when it appeared because the author departed from his adherence to Cartesian doctrine and, as a result, was denounced by Descartes. The book contains numerous scientific and anatomical woodcuts, with those of the magnet being of special interest." (Heirs of Hippocrates)
