Zeigt auf der Vorderseite eine Reproduktion der LithographieLa Colombe, die Picasso als Emblem für den Pariser Weltfriedenskongreß 1949 entworfen hatte. Vom Künstler mit "Picasso Paris" in Dunkelgrün signiert.
Umseitig mit Inschrift "Paix! .. 1949" und Empfängeradresse "Marko Ristic, Ambassadeur de Jugoslavie .. " (d. i. Marko Ristic, Schriftsteller des serbischen Surrealismus, 1902-1984) von fremder Hand. - Der Pariser Weltfriedenskongreß 1949 fand vom 20.-23. April in Paris (in der Salle Pleyel ) und parallel in Prag statt. Picasso, seit einigen Jahren Mitglied der kommunistischen Partei und in der Friedensbewegung tätig, war gebeten worden, für den Kongreß ein prägnantes Emblem zu entwerfen. In Zusammenarbeit mit F. Mourlot schuf er die Lithographie La Colombe , die von der Galerie L. Leiris in einer limitierten Auflage herausgeben wurde. Durch die Verbindung mit dem Kongreß prägte Picasso mit diesem Motiv auf einzigartige Weise das Symbol der "Friedenstaube".

Signed "Picasso Paris" on recto, and with inscription "Paix!.. 1949" and address (to Serbian writer Marko Ristic) on verso by another hand. Depicting Picasso's famous motive "La Colombe" which he created as an emblem for the congress, and which became the icon for peace worldwide.
