Hamburgensien

Hamburgensien [German] is the term designating all sorts of memorabilia, including books and prints, specificially views, maps, plans, photographs and genre scenes depicting the history, culture and architecture of the city of Hamburg with its characteristic features. Noteworthy Hamburgensien are the lithographs of the brothers Peter, Cornelius and Christopher Suhr, ca 1838, as well as the works "Der Ausruf in Hamburg" and "Hamburgische Trachten" ["Hamburg Costumes"] by Christopher Suhr (ca 1810).
